Patented Absolute Symmetry™ A/B Circuitry
Patented Absolute Symmetry™ Class A/B output stage delivers amazing fidelity with extremely low distortion over a wide range of load impedances.
Unlike conventional single-ended inputs, the differential-balanced design does not connect one side of the audio signal to chassis ground. This eliminates any voltage sensitivity between one input terminal and ground and greatly reduces the incidence of alternator whine in a typical car audio installation.
Flexible Preamp Outputs
All Slash v2 amplifiers, except the 250/1v2, feature flexible preamp outputs that make interconnecting multiple amplifiers simple. Below you will find summaries of each models preamp output configuration capabilities.
The 300/2v2 features preamp outputs that can be configured to track the amp filter (directly or reversed). They can also be configured as full-range, pass-through outputs.
The 450/4v2 features pass-through preamp outputs which can take their input from either amplifier channel pair or from the sum of both channel pairs.
The 500/1v2 and 1000/1v2 subwoofer amplifiers feature fully-independent preamp output filters with independent frequency, mode and slope-selection controls. These can also be configured to track the amplifier's low-pass filter directly or as full-range outputs.

Patented Class D Circuitry
JL Audio Class D subwoofer amplifiers utilize a proprietary Class D circuit which represents a significant advance in subwoofer amplifier design. While Class D amplifiers are well known for outstanding efficiency, they have also been known for less than spectacular sound quality due to weak damping of the driven load and poor power regulation. These factors are critical to subwoofer fidelity as they relate directly to the amplifier's ability to control the motion of the speakers.
