Rockford Fosgate P1S4-8 - 8" 4-Ohm Subwoofer
Rockford Fosgate P1 8-inch are the first in a series of world famous subwoofers called The Punch. During their inception in the 1980's, they quickly became The Woofer of Choice for fanatic car audio systems, with a continued tradition today. Kevlar fiber reinforced paper cones deliver bass impact you can feel, and our VAST technology increases surface cone area up to 25%. Best in standard sealed and vented enclosures. Includes soft touch ABS tri trim ring.
Anodized Aluminum Voice Coil Former
Rockford Fosgate subwoofers use anodized aluminum voice coil formers that provide superior heat dissipation (up to 100 at full power levels). Unlike traditional plastic substitutions, aluminum acts like a heat-sink to quickly dissipate thermal build-up on the voice coil. This keeps subwoofers cool during high SPL conditions.
CEA-2031
Power handling on Rockford Fosgate speakers conform to CEA-2031 industry standards. This means your speaker has the capacity to handle power under continuous damand, not instantaneous power handling, that over time, can damage voice coils.
Flex Fit Basket
The Flex Fit frame utilizes slots (where feasible) instead of single screw sized holes. This allows slight adjustment of the speaker when mounted.
Stitched Tinsel Leads
Improved reliability and performance by reducing fatigue and possible shorting. Multipoint periodic stitched lead wire technique reduces the mass of each tinsel lead and spreads stress and strain over a greater area, significantly improving the reliability and performance of the subwoofer. These stitched tinsel leads withstand extreme duty cycles, fatigue and high current that is critical to robust design.
